Sign Permit
Description A sign permit issued by the zoning administrator is required to locate, erect, move, construct, enlarge, or structurally modify any sign.

The zoning administrator will issue the permit once the fees are paid and the application clearly shows the sign complies with Town regulations.

If there's any uncertainty about whether the proposed sign meets the regulations, the zoning administrator may refer the application to the Plan Commission for a decision on issuing the permit.

About Reviewers
The following are involved in the review of this type of application.

The Plan Commission is a 7-member body established by the Town Board to review certain development projects and act on other matters. Depending on the type of the development proposal, the commission may be advisory to the Town Board or have the authority to make the final decision. One member also serves on the Town Board; the remaining members are town residents. (Jenna proof)

The Zoning Administrator provides technical support to the Town Board, Plan Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, developers, neighbors, and other interested parties to facilitate the development review process.
